Looking for something fun to do this beautiful Sunday? Head to the enchanting Candies in Bandra to browse The Gone For Good Sale. The girls who’ve organised this charity event stayed by collecting barely worn, gently used (or even better, new!) clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, books and the like from good Samaritans in Bombay and around.
The Good-Buy Bit
They’ve also got some excellent stuff from local and big name designers in their Steal Deals sections, all at great prices! Dresses from brands like Zara, Nine West, French Connection, Karen Miller, etc from as low as Rs 700. Shirts from J Crew and Anokhi, jackets from Massimo Pascale and Zara, and (I’m not sure this didn’t already get snapped up yesterday!) the piece de resistance — brand new Alexander McQueen pants for just Rs 4000!
The Have-Fun Bit
Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere at the various levels at Candies, where every nook brings you something new and interesting,as you savour their snacks and sweets. And just for today, there’s also live music, massages on offer, and of course, plenty of fun and laughter!
The Feel-Good Bit
All of the money raised through what you buy at the Gone for Good Sale will be donated to two incredible charities, Set Beautiful Free and St Catherine of Siena’s School and Orphanage.
Set Beautiful Free is dedicated to the rehabilitation of victims of sex trafficking, a shocking number in India. St Catherine of Siena’s School and Orphanage works toward sheltering and educating children that need it most today, poor kids off the street.
