A few weeks ago, when I was conducting a Mumbai tour for some big shots from Apple, we stopped at an antique store at Walkeshwar. While they browsed and bargained, I spotted a familiar figure, dapper and debonair. I had last met Rahul Khanna 20 years ago, just a km or so from where we were now.
At the time, I was interviewing him for the TOI’s Sunday Review (Khanna Khazana, published July 21, 2002) and he had invited me to the WIAA club (as the Malabar Hill Club was known then) to chat over chai. Now, more than two decades later, he didn’t look that different and was just as measured in his words as before!
It was great to reconnect and be able to interview him yet again, this time for this piece in India Today, published March 31, 2023) around his OTT career, his fashion choices, incredible Instagram fanbase as @MrKhanna, and being relevant even at 50.
